Caddywhompus Catch-Up

We the merry two in the Caddy labs have kicked it into high gear recently and have a few things to report to the blogosphere. Today (well, yesterday now) we released some new recordings for free as a TREAT.

These tracks (read: Maze Demos) were done this past winter in our practice space (the Maze) and were recorded primarily by the original Ross Farbe. They document our most recent songs in their early stages. They will be reworked and re-recorded for a future full length release due out this coming fall, if all things go as planned. They’re some of our favorite songs we’ve written and they were captured beautifully by the Farbe-man himself (those of you who have the new Caddy cassettes will recognize these songs).

In addition to these recordings, we announced our Easter Egg-Crackin’ East Coast Excursion (that’s a tour, y’all) where we quickly make our way to the northeast and back through the course of about a week and a half.

[RSVP]

Holler if you or anyone you know is in the storm path. More dates/details to be announced as we solidify some stuff on our end.

That’s about it for now. Enjoy your Easter break if that’s what you’re into.

Peace & Love,

Chris (dictated, not read)

  • About Chinquapin

Chinquapin Records is a cooperative of artists and advocates formed late 2010 in New Orleans, LA. Though the name is still young, the community that it represents has been sharing and caring since we first fell in love with each other's music. Chinquapin Records seeks to be an outlet for sharing the music we make and the music we love.
